REPLATFORMING PROJECT

Skills involved: UX, UI, Responsive digital design

In 2016 Oasis launched it's first ever fully responsive website. I was involved from the start of the yearlong project, from scoping sessions, to wireframes, designs and testing.

The first stage included collating research for scoping sessions, looking closely at competitors and new innovation in the industry. These scoping sessions laid the groundwork for creating the site wireframes.

My main role was to create designs for the entire website based on the wireframes. Focusing on key pages such as the product page and the checkout across 3 different breakpoints. Alongside the designs I created a new online style guide for the brand with a bespoke set of icons.

Once the basic development stage was complete it was my job to test the UX of the website. Taking different user stories and raising any bugs/issues along the way so that they were rectified before launch.

With the designs fully implemented the second phase was to review the websites UI. Making sure the site reflected the designs and enhanced the user journey.

I worked tirelessly throughout the entire project in order to meet extremely tight deadlines, managing the design phase and co-ordinating with our systems integration provider as well as the Oasis ecommerce team to deliver this enormous project.

AW16 Lookbook

Skills involved: UX, UI, Responsive digital design

Every season we launch a new online Lookbook. The customer is able to browse the key looks for that season, shop items that are in stock and sign up to receive an email notification for items that are coming soon.

To begin I started creating a wireframe for our 3 common breakpoints and worked with the development team to focus on the key functionality.

Once the wires were finalised I layered on top the designs using our seasonal colours and elements from the campaign.

The desktop contains css animation that zooms in on the second image to show the product details. This is hidden for tablet and mobile to reduce page load and shows a more simplified design.

The customer is able to navigate through each look using the thumbnails below, or by swiping through the carousel.

Once our development team had completed the build I proceeded to test on multiple devices and browsers to check the design was consistent and reflected the designs.

EXCLUSIVE COLLECTION

Skills involved: Responsive digital design

Last year Oasis created a new and exclusive collection inspired by illustrations from a Tomorrow's talent competition winner.

The collection was featured on the homepage, email and showcased in a content rich category page, containing a shoppable lookbook, animated tiles and video content.

I designed the homepage and category with animated tiles and banner which I created using animated gifs.

The customer is able to navigate through each look using the thumbnails below, or by swiping through the carousel.

Once our development team had completed the build I proceeded to test on multiple devices and browsers to check the user journey, raise any bugs and to make sure the final product reflected the designs.

Jeans & a Nice Top

INTERACTIVE FEATURE

Skills involved: UX, UI, Responsive digital design

The idea for this feature came from a creative brainstorm inspired by the classic duo of Jeans & a nice top.

The aim was to create a interactive feature that would allow the customer to choose 3 items that would make up an outfit. Then based on how dressy the items chosen were, the barometer would move up/down the scale to determine whether the final outfit was made for popping out, going out or going out out. The customer was then given the chance to enter a competition to win 3 different outings.

Once establishing the aim I mocked up wires to layout the user journey and worked with the developer on the theory behind the barometer by scoring each item of clothing with a percentage.

In order to convert customers I introduce a quick buy functionality on the page for all product, so she could select the pieces she loved and add them to her basket as well as enter the competition.

I then went onto creating the designs for online and providing creative direction for the studio shoot to support the artwork.

Once our development team had completed the build I proceeded to test on multiple devices and browsers to check the user journey, raise any bugs and to make sure the final product reflected the designs.

OASISI SS17 CAMPAIGN

INTERACTIVE FEATURE

Skills involved: UX, UI, Responsive digital design

This feature designed to tell the story of the Oasis SS17 campaign in an engaging way.

Each section represents a part of the Founders of Feel Good Factory that sits back with the campaign story.

The customer is also able to shop items that are in stock using a quick buy functionality and sign up to receive an email notification for items that are coming soon.

I worked with the development team for ideas to enhance the user experience; we decided to introduce different animations to layer on top of the campaign imagery.

After mocking up the wires I used elements from the campaign to create the final designs and made vector images to use for part of the animation.

Once our development team had completed the build I proceeded to test on multiple devices and browsers to check the user journey, raise any bugs and to make sure the final product reflected the designs.
