REPLATFORMING PROJECT

Skills involved: UX, UI, Responsive digital design

In 2016 Oasis launched it's first ever fully responsive website. I was involved from the start of the yearlong project, from scoping sessions, to wireframes, designs and testing.

The first stage included collating research for scoping sessions, looking closely at competitors and new innovation in the industry. These scoping sessions laid the groundwork for creating the site wireframes.

My main role was to create designs for the entire website based on the wireframes. Focusing on key pages such as the product page and the checkout across 3 different breakpoints. Alongside the designs I created a new online style guide for the brand with a bespoke set of icons.

Once the basic development stage was complete it was my job to test the UX of the website. Taking different user stories and raising any bugs/issues along the way so that they were rectified before launch.

With the designs fully implemented the second phase was to review the websites UI. Making sure the site reflected the designs and enhanced the user journey.

I worked tirelessly throughout the entire project in order to meet extremely tight deadlines, managing the design phase and co-ordinating with our systems integration provider as well as the Oasis ecommerce team to deliver this enormous project.

The brief was to create a designated social/content area for our customers, somewhere to house all brand content to drive traffic and engage customers.

To begin I researched competitors and looked for layout inspiration from many sources. Based on the research I created the first basic wireframes, which were developed over time whilst working alongside the developers to focus on the key functionality.

Once the wires were finalised I created the branding, look and feel for the collective that would be used across our content and social channels.

The landing page here contains a dynamic feed of content pulling through posts from the blog and filtering them into 3 streams 'socialising, styling and smiling'.

The customer is able to navigate from this 'content hub' to access engaging and shareable content, from blog posts to styling videos.

This project is currently under development.

EXCLUSIVE COLLECTION

Skills involved: UX, UI, Responsive digital design

When Oasis launched their new Bridesmaid collection earlier this year it was my task to create a permanent space for the collection to sit online alongside the category. We decided to create a content hub that would include tips for brides to be in order to plan their perfect wedding.

A booking page was also required for brides to book a styling session for their bridesmaids in one of our stores.

The collection was featured on the homepage, email and showcased in a content rich category page, containing animated tiles and video content. From here customers could navigate to the booking page and the content hub.

Once our development team had completed the build I proceeded to test on multiple devices and browsers to check the user journey, raise any bugs and to make sure the final product reflected the designs.

Every season we launch a new online Lookbook. The customer is able to browse the key looks for that season, shop items that are in stock and sign up to receive an email notification for items that are coming soon.

To begin I started creating a wireframe for our 3 common breakpoints and worked with the development team to focus on the key functionality.

Once the wires were finalised I layered on top the designs using our seasonal colours and elements from the campaign.

The user is able to add items to their bag without navigating away from the page; they are also able to enter their email address for items that are not due in until late in the season. Once the item is live online we will send them an email to let them know it is now available to buy.

Once our development team had completed the build I proceeded to test on multiple devices and browsers to check the design was consistent and reflected the designs.

OASIS CHRISTMAS ADVENT

INTERACTIVE GAME

Skills involved: UX, UI, Responsive digital design

Every Christmas we create a fun advent calendar for customers to interact with and win prizes on the lead up to Christmas.

After various brainstorming sessions we came up with a simple game that was to be played everyday to reveal a new prize each time.

The main aim was to tap/click the clock face as fast as you can to make the hands move around the clock in order to release a prize.

Whilst the development team worked on the mechanics for the game based on my initial wireframes, I worked on the final designs and made sure the user journey was engaging as possible.

Once our development team had completed the build I proceeded to test on multiple devices and browsers to check the user journey, raise any bugs and to make sure the final product reflected the designs.

The game was a great success compaired to previous years, drawing in lots of entries, increasing onsite converions and adding new customers to our email database.

Oasis x Natural History Museum

INTERACTIVE GAME

Skills involved: UX, UI, Responsive digital design

Oasis collaborated with the Natural History Museum to create a new and exclusive collection. I was responsible for the online launch.

As part of the launch we created a game for our customers, giving them a chance to win a prize. I worked with the developers to produce a user journey covering all possible scenarios when interacting with the game.

In order to complete a level the user would have to match 3 bugs in a row using a certain amount of moves.

We decided to produce 3 levels that would increase in difficulty. Once all levels were complete the user would be shown a data entry form to input their details for a chance to win the prize.

Once establishing the aim and customer journey I mocked up wires for all possible outcomes. We then put these into firt stage of development and made a few tweaks after some in-house user testing.

Now that the user experience was finished I skinned the wires using elements from the collab to come up with the creative for Catch the Critters.

We used visual hints to guide the user along the journy. These hints would show on the first level and when the user was idol for a certain amount of time.

We also used a progress bar so the user could see how far along the journey they were and each match would bump up the users score.

Oasis paired up with Belle & Bunty to create a new season edit for spring. I was responsible for the designs of the online launch that included a new homepage design, an email, a content rich category page and a lookbook.

The lookbook consisted of 12 looks which allowed the customer to shop items that are in stock using a quick buy functionality and sign up to receive an email notification for items that are coming soon.

The customer is able to navigate through each look using the thumbnails or by swiping through the carousel.

Once our development team had completed the build I proceeded to test on multiple devices and browsers to check the user journey, raise any bugs and to make sure the final product reflected the designs.
